The Olympics and Paralympics always have a wide media coverage and Sports Journalism links integrally with the Games. It is a great way of introducing young people to creating news stories and can add an exciting twist to English, IT and Media studies from KS2 and upwards.
As part of this project we ran six-week long Sports Journalism courses with local schools where students learned about interview techniques, videography and photography. The course at the London Stadium culminated in a live interview with Rob Prichard, West Ham United Football Club’s Content Editor.
